I am very BIG on accessories! I was talking to my sister yesterday and I was talking about this girl I thought is cute but she is missing something. Now when we were talking about her I was telling my sister she’s missing something like lipgloss or something…HA! What difference just a nice gloss or bracelet will add to the person. So in explaining my side I was saying that she had on jewelry so that wasn’t the problem…but I think she missing some makeup. Now if you know my sister, she used to wear makeup daily, but over the past few years her style has toned down a lot. She wears jewelry (wedding ring, Pandora bracelet, Tiffany’s bracelet, a Blue Nile Necklace….and studs)! Now her jewelry isn’t flashy, just some classic pieces…every now and then I can talk her into wearing a bigger pair of earrings, or a statement necklace! She’s always telling me “Carissa, everyone doesn’t wear all that stuff like you on a daily basis” I went on to tell her that if she had a nice gloss on her lips with a little bit of tint it would go a LONG way!
Since being at home I don’t wear makeup daily! Most of the time I only put it on if I am going to see people…like going to Doctors Appointments w/Emma, Bible Study, Dinner with Husband/or Friends, etc. (you get the picture) But occasionally, I do wear it when I am out running errands (depending on the outfit).
But I put together a list of a few items that can add so much to an outfit without over-doing it…
Add a little color to those cheeks
Great way to give yourself some color, and it takes less than 5 minutes to apply
With the right sunglasses you can be fly in anything! Check out the Celebs!
I NEVER leave home without a pair of earrings! I usually even have a backup pair in my purse just in case I need to change up, or I need to do a quick sprucing up of my outfit. You should have some studs for those effortless days as well as a good pair of hoop earrings!
The current trend is the “arm party” throw on a couple of bracelets and go! Or just one bracelet and your arm wont look so bare! I always pair up my Pandora (yes, I love that thing and NEVER leave home with out it) with a couple other bracelets. Don’t spend a ton on bracelets…they can be found everywhere now! Have fun with them; mix colors, patterns, textures…I even mix gold and silver together (don’t knock it till you try it)
