Since we found out we were having twins I have been researching and asking a BUNCH of questions. I want to be prepared for any and everything…but actually there is no real way to be prepared for absolutely everything…
We don’t know what the sex of the babies are but we are praying and claiming BOYS!!! We already have names for them, but if we have girls I guess we are going to have to do some research in finding girl names we like.
With all the news about the mono/mono twins…I thought I should let you know up front we are having mono/di twins.
In the bottom right corner you can see the type of twins I am carrying. They are sharing a placenta, but they have their own sac. So with carrying mono/di twins we are 95% sure they identical. They are sharing a placenta which makes me high risk because they have to keep an eye on them to make sure both are getting enough nutrients. With sharing a placenta there is a chance that one baby can get greedy and take the nutrients from the other baby. At the ultrasound they were both growing at a good pace and both were good sizes…so we are ultimately praying for healthy babies no matter if they are girls or boys!
Well I am due in November…November 12 to be exact! But I will probably have the babies towards the end of October via C-Section. I had a cesarean with Emma and to be on the cautious side they recommended we go with another one for the twins…I kind of figured that anyways. So basically we are prepping for after the summer we need to have EVERYTHING in order because you just don’t know with twins! They kind of come when they are ready…the only thing we do know is that my doctor isn’t letting me go all the way into the November pregnant!
OMG when I was pregnant with Emma I had morning sickness a few times…but nothing too serious! Well being pregnant with Twins has totally taken Morning Sickness to another level! I busted a blood vessel in my eye last week from being sick. It takes so much out of me…I’ve gotten a few home remedies to help it so I may try some of those this week (I will keep you posted)!
Well if you were looking at my Facebook page the other day you saw I was up eating Biscuits and Jelly late one night. The cravings tend to come and go…I haven’t been “hooked” on anything for a long period of time. Usually if I crave something if I eat a little bit of it I am good and I am on to something else. I have been wanting a lot of fruit…and I made a fruit salad which was the BOMB!
Well no one really likes to talk about weight…pregnancy or not! HA! But actually I haven’t been doing that bad…my stomach is getting bigger but the scale hasn’t had a drastic increase! I just feel sluggish all the time and I need to take naps…so I know there is weight gain but I haven’t been keeping tabs like that. The doctor says I’m good…she actually tells me to eat more because with twins they tell you to pack on the pounds…I’m not on that but I eat enough! I do know I hadn’t been getting in enough veggies so I have started back making fruit and veggie smoothies in the morning to get in more green vegetables!
Okay I think that’s about it…any tips for me getting more veggies?
I’m not the biggest vegetable eater!
Any pregnancy tips for me?
