Back to Church...

Today was our first Sunday back at church since Emma had surgery! Felt good to be in the house of the Lord!!! I took the time to spruce myself up! I am always making sure everyone looks great, and everything is on point for Emma and Darrick and I just fall in line. Over the last week with trying to make sure Emma is well, my appearance fell off bigtime, my hair was a mess and I was having withdrawals from my makeup...I used to wear makeup to work daily (not because I need it but because I just LOVE makeup)! And I hadn't had on any in about two weeks! So lets say I played it up today with a full face!!! LOL I guess I got used to not wearing it because sitting here typing this post I have some serious raccoon eyes!! HA!

The pictures are a little blurry so just work with me! I found this cape/poncho top at Lane Bryant on Saturday, I went in for some tights but ended up buying a couple of tops because they were having a Flash Sale (40% off sale on everything)...even Clearance! I found my skirt at Old Navy and I will be going back for the other colors!! My boots are Calvin Klein from a few years ago! I really wanted to wear pumps but Cleveland weather wouldn't allow for that!

I've been working out, and I have lost a couple of pounds (nothing significant just yet) but I must admit I have been feeling good. Even my husband says that I've had more energy, like popping up out of bed in the morning ready to get my day started! HA! I noticed a difference over the weekend when playing on the Xbox 360 Kinect, I wasn't as winded as before...slowly making progress!!!

Today's sermon at church was titled "I fallen but I CAN get up"...and it was really a good Word! His text was from Genesis 3:18, and it was about having faith! No matter how many times you fall, with God you can get back up. It was a basic message that I've heard in many forms, however, its good to have a reminder every now and then to keep your faith strong and God will bring you through!!!
