Happy Halloween (Breast Cancer Awareness Edition)

Happy Halloween!!!

I have been a total slacker for Breast Cancer Awareness Month!!! So I thought I would dedicate the last day of the month to Breast Cancer Awareness. Below are images I found from Google Images that relate to Halloween, since today is the 31st and also relate to Breast Cancer Awareness!

My Day Yesterday...

So yesterday I stayed home from work because I had a rough morning of sickness, and also because I had a doctors appointment later in the afternoon! However, going to the doctors has always taken a lot out of me...PERIOD! LOL! I think its because of all the emotions I have going to prior to my appointments, and by the time its all over I am EXHAUSTED!

I took yesterday afternoon to keep to myself! I got good news from the doctors and I just wanted to enjoy my good news and keep to myself! I had the pleasure of seeing my little girls face yesterday, because at the doctors they do 3D ultrasounds as well as regular ultrasounds. And right now, we know that she has big cheeks and a round face...so Im thinking she is coming out looking like her MOMMA!!! YAY! I do regret not asking for any pictures but I'm sure I will have a chance to ask for some later on next month!

When I got home from the doctors I had a surprise waiting on my doorstep! I had a package...I mean I knew it was coming just not sure the exact date! BUT ohhh when I opened it I fell in love...

My planner from Erin Condren came in the Mail!!!
This is my next planner...an Erin Condren planner! I saw this planner on a few other bloggers sites, but I knew I had to get one when I saw the pictures on Savanah's Blog.
I noticed that some bloggers have taken pictures of their planners from the opening of the box until they get to the actual planner, however, I'm the complete opposite! I tore right into the box, and started looking through the pages! I couldnt wait to get to it...LOL!

Instead of my name only on my planner...I put Darrick, Carissa, and Emma. Since we will be a family soon and I plan for everyone...I thought I should just add everyone:)

Personalized Stickers that came with my Planner!

Happy Birthday Momma!!!

I want to take the time to send BIRTHDAY WISHES to my Mommy!!!

Happy Birthday to the best mom in the world!

My mom is TRULY my BESTEST  (yes, I know that's not a word) friend in the world...she will laugh with you, cry with you, fight for you, give her last for her family, always cooking two fish and five loaves of bread (inside joke), send crazy emails and text, fuss at you (all because she loves you), give you a hug when you need it, road dog if you need someone to go shopping with you,  and has been my constant motivator throughout my relationships and friendships and life in general!

So today I declare it National RJB (dont want to give her full name) Day!!! LOL!!!

Hope its a fabulous day for you...LOVE YOU!!!

NO HEELS!!!

Well I have officially banned wearing heels while pregnant! It really hurts my heart to write this post, however, I believe the heels hurt my feet more when I tried to wear them! I honestly don't see how celebrities do it, I mean, I know they are paid to look fabulous; however, my feet were on FIRE at church this past Sunday! Pre-Pregnancy I usually would wear a 3" to 4" heel, I usually only wear them on the weekends when I am going somewhere.
This past Sunday I had an outfit on that I felt needed a heel to pull off, so I borrowed my sisters' Steve Madden Mary Jane's that have about a 2 1/2 inch heel. Let me tell you, I couldn't make it through the entire church service, I had to have Darrick go to the car for my flat shoes!

So since I have realized that heels aren't my friends right now, I have been on a mad search to find more cute flat shoes...

When I look for flat shoes I immediately go to the COACH website...
COACH Desire Flat

COACH Fleur Flat

COACH Cecile Flat

I have these in Black and I am REALLY considering purchasing the brown pair...but if I purchase these this will be the LAST pair with the signature print!

**I must be honest, I could buy all the Coach Flats. They are very comfortable, I bought a pair a few years ago and ever since then I usually "invest" (my way of explaining the price to the man) in a pair each year. When looking at the COACH website I fell in love with these two pairs.  The only thing I wish COACH didn't do was put the signature print on most of the shoes, I think that's why I like the two pairs at the top, because they don't have the signature plastered on them**

So overall, I have been doing pretty good with my pregnancy! The only thing I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY miss is my energy! I am still in school, working, and planning a wedding...so my days usually consists of making a list and trying to accomplish everything before I am tired! This is really hard in the afternoon because I am usually VERY tired! I will say Darrick is a huge blessing because he usually helps out when I am in need of energy!

Moving Time...

So the time has come for me to pack up all my stuff and move it to Darrick's house (well in November)! We would like to be settled before the baby comes. We decided that we are going to move me in November (probably before Thanksgiving), and one would think that since the month of September went really fast that I would've started cleaning and preparing to move. However, the total opposite has happened...I haven't cleaned or gone through any of my things! Last time I moved was in 2008, and that was move from Columbus back to Cleveland. Since then I have accumulated lots of new things, and haven't touched the items that are in the basement at my parents house.

When I think about moving all my things I get nervous about Darrick seeing EVERYTHING I have! He already thinks that I have TONS of stuff, but its really not that bad (at least I don't think so). The thing is when I spend the night at Darrick's house I am usually living out of a bag (my clothes are in a bag, my make up that I will be using at the time is in a bag, my shoes are in a bag) and usually this all fits within ONE bag. However, over the past year I have SO MUCH makeup that it needs its own container, or storage unit! I would like to be as organized as possible because he is Mr. Neat Freak, and because we not only will have my stuff but also the baby's stuff as well.

I have been researching ways to stay organized with my makeup, since I have a lot of stuff ...

I thought about buying some jars, or mini vases to do something like this with my brushes?!?! I love the scrapbook stickers as labels instead of a traditional label. I already have my ideas pictured in my head, I would use some form of glitter stickers to label mine.

OR maybe I should invest in something like this to help with organizing everything. I wonder what Darrick would say to a tall makeup organizer?!?! This seems like the best option to keep everything in one place, maybe I will talk this over with "The Man" and see what he thinks will fit our organization vision! LOL!

Weekend Recap

(google images)

Well this weekend didn't really start off how I wanted it to. I planned on Friday night to have a girls night to myself. I wanted to do my nails, and hair...and just basically sit around till Darrick got off work. However, before I left work, Darrick called me and said he was going to visit his Aunt in the hospital, so I told him earlier in the week if he wanted to me to I would go with him. So our Friday night was spent visiting his aunt in the hospital. I was glad that I told him I would go with him, because I think I helped him take his mind off things. Cleveland Clinic is so big now since the new wing is finished that we had lots of time to walk and talk, and I held his hand just to reassure him I was there for him!

After we left the hospital, we were riding around trying to find something to eat. I suggested the Michael Symon's restaurant The B Spot.

We haven't been there in a while, and usually we sit in and eat. But it was nasty outside so I suggested we order it to go and go home and watch movies and eat. So that's exactly what we did! Darrick's house is in the middle of a lot of projects. The bedroom is the current project, so since we were comfortable in the family room...we had a sleepover in there! We had blankets and pillows, it was a perfect way to end a kind of stressful time for him.

Saturday morning, we met my family at Cracker Barrel for breakfast! It was still pretty cold, and rainy...basically pretty nasty outside. Darrick and I ran some errands afterwards and came back to his house and watched football and took naps.  We looked at more baby stuff at Kmart and Burlington's, its amazing to see how excited and involved he is with this whole process. I never doubted him but he is on it more than I am!!  Afterwards we came back to his house to take a nap, we both slept for about 3-4 hours, I was really happy about that...one because I needed the extra rest, and two because Darrick needed rest also! He is ALWAYS on the go and working on the house...so if felt good to see him fully relaxing!! He said he was going to do some work on Sunday but I was glad that he didn't really get a chance to!

Sunday we went to church, and made our rounds to visit his family and my family! This is our Sunday rituals, even though we usually see everyone at church! LOL!

Overall, I had a GREAT weekend! Its not very often we can just chill out and enjoy each others company at home! I was a little bummed about the weather, however, those are the best fall days when you can get in the house early and watch movies!
