Few Randoms...

This week has been a long one...well honestly it shouldnt be because I didnt work for two days out of the week. But that was because I was sick...I had some type of virus that had to run its course! However, while at home I had a paper that had to be done by midnight yesterday so my original plan was to go to work then come home and get as much of it done as I can, but that didnt work because I got sick! I didnt really work on the paper Tuesday because I was totally out of it, and I worked really hard yesterday to get it done! Thanks for the well wishes on getting better! I'm almost there...

I have been meaning to post about this past weekend! Last weekend there was a lot going on (new floors, Darrick having to teach Sunday School, get together at my pastors house, final project that needed to be completed, hair needed to be done)...but we managed to make it out for a friends' birthday Saturday night.

We were so tired but we pulled it together (I sure hope you cant tell)...

Random Thought...I wanted to wait till May to go look at dresses for everyone, however, at the end of April we are going to look for flowers so they can start working on my arrangements for the church, reception, and bouquets. I was talking to my sister and she said I should probably know if we are going to go with black dresses or pink dresses so we will know what to do for flowers...so dress shopping may be pushed up!

Sick Again...

Well...whatever I was coming down with has hit me full blown today! I stayed home from work to go to the doctors...I have to feel better soon because I have a paper that needs to get done ASAP! Well I have some blogs that have been scheduled in advance...but Im off to go rest!

So I had plan to get a post up today of my eventful weekend, however, I think with all the running around I did this weekend it took a toll on me and my immune system!

I feel horrible...my head hurts, my throat hurts, and now my body is aching a little bit.

Honestly I have a lot of things that inspire me...family, my fiance, my friends, church, various things online, blogs, the weather, my niece and nephew (I guess that could go under family), music, different colors

2. what was the last thing you bought yourself?

I bought a pair of jeans to go out yesterday! Well I always can use a new pair of jeans because Im really picky when it comes to them!

3. would you rather watch a movie in a theater or

from the comfort of your own home?

I like going to the movies, however, at this point I would have to say in the comfort of my own home! Then I can relax, put on some sweats, and lay across the couch. Darrick and I usually eat pizza and drink wine and watch movies...some of my favorite times!!!

4. household chore you don't mind doing?

Cleaning the Bathroom

5. coffee or tea?

Neither...give me some juice or water

6. what could you eat every day and not get sick of??

Pepperoni Pizza...I LOVE It!

7. what's the last book you read?

At the moment, I only read textbooks! I wish I had the time to read books for personal pleasure. I barely have time to read the textbooks....:(

I think I look my age, however, people always mistake me as the older sister between my sister and I.

Happy Friday!!!

Today started off kind of Blah...its Friday lets hurry up and get this workday over! HA! Just being honest, that's how I truly felt this morning!

Now I'm at work doing the HAPPY DANCE!!!! I took my car into the dealership today because I needed to get a head light fixed, oil change, and I needed another hubcap (DARN POTHOLES) but I was going to wait patiently (meaning Darrick told me to stick to our budget) and just get a set of rims next month so I didn't have to mess with this hubcap business anymore!!!

But everything came into place today...WHOOP WHOOP!!! Darrick took the car in and everything is getting done (oil change, headlight, rims, and hopefully they vacuum it...okay that may be asking for too much I can do that myself when I get it back) for an AWESOME price!!!

My car will now look like this again!!!

 I'm so excited...I'm sure you are probably reading and wondering why I am blogging about hubcaps but you don't understand how these potholes have been doing a job on the cars here in Cleveland!!!

Now all I need to get is a pair of new sunglasses and I can ride off into the sunset...LOL!

 

Friends...

On Friday...I met up for a birthday dinner with some of my friends! These are ladies that I have known since 2nd grade, and some since middle school...we all ended up in Columbus for college, and now we are all back in Cleveland! Crazy how time flies! I haven't seen these ladies in what seems like forever, but while we were there I was very HAPPY for everyone...because we are all in a good place in our life! Although there were a couple ladies that I had recently met at the dinner, we all had a great time!

The friend who's birthday it was is currently completing her Master's and is working at a university as a Special Assistant in the Office of General Counsel, the other one has finished her Masters and is applying to Law School and working for NBC, the other one has completed her Associate Degree and recently had a baby, and then there is me who is currently completing my Master's and working at a university as well! As I sat there and saw how much we have grown over the years, it honestly brought tears to my eyes...we have been through so much and I love these ladies like family and I'm SO PROUD of them!!!

As we sat there we reminisced on our college days and how much fun we used to have, and I couldn't do anything but smile because it used to be a lot of crazy times together especially in college! LOL! We have come so far from the girls I went to high school and college with!!!

If you ladies are reading...I love you and we HAVE to do that more often!!!

When I grew up I wanted to be an interior decorator! I have loved decorating since I could remember...I like to decorate anything and for any reason, the house, for a party, holidays, birthday parties...you tell me we are having something and I will start decorating!

1} To have enough money to take care of my family...both sides

2} Quit my job and finish my master's as a full time on campus student rather than online

3} I could spend one more day with my Grandmother now...I know she is watching over me but I wish I could just talk to her and tell her about my life now
