Friend Friday: Vacation

Today, I decided to do another Friend Friday link up with Modly Chic

1. When it comes to packing for vacation what’s your mantra?

When I pack there is ABSOLUTELY no system! Sometimes I write the outfits down I want to bring, then sometimes I just jump into it. I usually have an idea of the main pieces I want to pack, so I go for those first…then I venture into something else as I think about it.

2. What are your must packs?

This summer I am packing all of my summer dresses, and I am currently on the hunt for some jean Bermuda shorts. So once I find those I will be set, and maybe another swimsuit! Usually for all my trips (no matter by plane or car) I have a carry-on bag of magazine (I stock up before I leave home) and a few other girly items to freshen up just in case I get stuck somewhere! Oh and my beloved Laptop…but sometimes I stay away from the computer on vacations. My absolute must pack is accessories...I will make sure I have them with me even if I have to sit them on my lap until I get there!!!

3. What are you happy to leave behind?

 TEXTBOOKS!!!! Even though I attend class online I still have to carry around my textbooks because I work on my homework whenever I have the chance.

4. Any packing secrets that help you get everything into one suitcase?

I usually put everything on the bed that I was intending on packing, then I go through it all as I’m putting it in the suitcase to see if I really need it or not. Sometimes rolling and folding methods help in getting everything in.

5. Beach reading… what are you taking with you to read in the sand?

Honestly, I don’t like reading on the beach! I like letting my mind wonder when I’m there. I live in Cleveland, so the beach isn’t close around so when I’m there I like to take it all in and relax!!!
