Hit the Ground Running (Wedding Updates)...

(This is what my mornings look like...LOL...I have been using my Lilly planner and HTC Evo to keep everything in order)

I haven't blogged in a while, with school, work (awarding season in Financial Aid), and life in general I haven't had much time. I sat down to blog on Friday, April 29, 2011, but I didn't get a chance to. But when May 1st came, we hit the ground running. I guess we both felt the pressure of wedding planning since its a year away, well it will be a year on the 26th. We have gotten a lot accomplished in a matter of days...I guess "TeamWork does make the DreamWork"...LOL! I was so proud of Darrick, he started contacting hotels for our guest to stay in over the wedding weekend, and is in the process of completing a contract.

Here is a list of things we have gotten done in 4 days into the month...

Contract for the Hotel for Guests (first form that needs to be signed, May 9) DONE!

Wedding Website-DONE!

Set Up Appointment with Videographer (May 15)

Engagement Pictures (May 29)

Priced Invitations and Save the Dates

Talked to Limo Companies (reminds me I need to call them back)

After engagement pictures this month I plan to dive in with the wedding planning full speed ahead! A lot of stuff has been planned we just need to take action! Save the Date Magnets will go out in June (hopefully), they are supposed to go out 9-12 months before the event, so we take pictures right after our year mark and they should go out 11 months in advance! I guess I feel a little pressure to get them out because Darrick has lots of family already starting to ask for dates and everything! I guess more are planning on attending than we originally thought...but I guess that is a good thing! We are going on vacation in June...but after that it is ON in a MAJOR WAY! I have been looking for my perfect pair of blue shoes, I don't have a dress yet but I plan on wearing blue shoes and its been really hard to find that perfect pair! But I will keep looking until I fall in love with a pair, or another pair in a different color. I also plan to go dress shopping this month, I keep putting it off but I feel as long as I start by July I will be good, no worries on this end.
