OK so here is my take on Winter Shorts: I think they are a very cute trend! However, being in Cleveland there really isn't the option to go without tights underneath, there is no way you are going out bare leg in this winter air (it was only 15 degrees this morning). I personally would wear this trend with the tights, I think it’s cute and very chic to pair the shorts with tights and pumps or boots! Maybe if I were in a warmer climate I would go bare leg, however, I think that is just wearing shorts year around, not really a new fashion trend.
Let me let you in on a little secret: This really isnt a new fashion trend! Back in the 90's this style was very popular! I remember my mom wearing "Walking Shorts and Tights" when I was younger, and she would dress my sister and I in them as well! This was more of a preppy style and worn with a sweater or a belt with a large buckle! The shorts in the 90's were knee length, they werent as short as they are now.

I think the trend could be done fashionably, I remember back in the 90's too. IMO though, thigh high boots look very hookerish. that's why I'm not a fashion expert though.
I LOVE this. I would rock this look. It's so funny you blogged about this because I thought about putting Solana in shorts and tights the other day and decided not to because I wasn't sure if people would 'get it'. lol I'm all for it now though!! Thanks, Sister!
