Big Men Need Love Too

"Big Men Need Love Too," is what Darrick (my boyfriend) told me after reading one of my blogs. He suggested this blog a while ago, and told me I need to feature big men in the blog. Personally, I have always loved bigger men because I am a big girl so I needed a "big" man.
Take a look below at some of my picks:
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson

Glen "Big Baby" Davis

Anthony Anderson

Cedric the Entertainer

Busta Rhymes

Jerome Bettis

So Ladies, what do we think? Did I miss anyone?
Oh I forgot one more...

Drop Dead Diva

Okay so I know I'm late...but on Sunday, August 23, 2009, I took the time to sit and watch a full episode of Drop Dead Diva. I loved the concept when I first watched the previews before the show premiered, however, after watching on Sunday I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the show. I guess I will now have to add this to my line up of TV shows that I watch regularly.

Guess What:

Lifetime has ordered 13 new episodes of the freshman series, which stars break-out actress Brooke Elliott and popular comedienne Margaret Cho, for 2010.

Drop Dead Diva, tells the story of a shallow, aspiring model who dies in a sudden accident, only to find her soul resurfacing in the body of a brilliant, thoughtful and plus-size attorney (Elliott), premiered on July 12, 2009, and was Lifetime’s highest rated original drama series debut since the 2007 launch of Army Wives.

I am totally a fan now...if you haven't checked this show out...you are missing out!!!

PETA...PETA...PETA....I think they have lost their MINDS!!!!

So people from the plus size community are in rage at the billboard that was posted in Jacksonville, Florida by the PETA Organization. Many feel that this is a slap in the face to those plus size individuals that are PETA supporters. PETA is an organization that prides itself on being brash and in your face, and ready to make a point to promote your values. You've gone to the extreme to promote animal cruelty, vegetarianism, and the fur trade amongst other issues.
In my opinion, this is the reason that society is so messed up. Society accepts things like this, and makes everyone believe that if you are overweight its because you basically eat uncontrollably! However, for most people this isn't the case, there are many vegetarians that are overweight. This billboard saddens me because it shows that no matter how much the plus size industry does to get rid of the stereotypes they still exist.
Hurtful...
What are your thoughts???
There Justifications: "A new PETA billboard campaign that was just launched in Jacksonville reminds people who are struggling to lose weight -- and who want to have enough energy to chase a beach ball -- that going vegetarian can be an effective way to shed those extra pounds that keep them from looking good in a bikini."
BLANK STARE...Are you serious???
